Nazali kotambola na velo mokili mobimba
(I'm cycling around the world by bicycle)
"Kotambola" means “walk” in Lingala, spoken mainly in the western parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC former Zaire). I was there from March through to May during 2011 and had used “kotambola” as “travel” not “walk". After realising its proper meaning, I had still continued using it as “travel” because I liked the sound “kotambola” so much and now I’m going to travel slowly as if to“walk”.
It wasn’t until 3.5 years from my departure before I started my blog, since the end of 2012. I had never had a thought of making a blog for myself, but gradually my mind has changed in the last year or so. I had wanted a change. I need a change. Though I don’t know whether I can keep making it. Surely this is another challenge for me, it might be a good experience.
My blog is mainly in Japanese, but I’m also going to briefly describe in my broken English as many articles as I can because I want to learn and improve. Once in a while I’ll post recent news in English on facebook as well. I’m very happy if you point out when you find improper expressions.
